Congratulations to Judson Coaches and Athletes Recognized during Elgin Sports Hall of Fame

Congratulations to the 24 Judson athletes, three coaches, and one former Judson player were all recognized at the Fortieth Annual Elgin Sports Hall of Fame Banquet Sunday evening. 

“I am deeply honored and blessed to be leading such a great tennis program for this university. We have put Judson University Tennis on the world map now, which has in part been a key contributor to the successful seasons that we have been having,” said Assistant Director of Athletics and Head Tennis Coach Chris Moment. “I would like to congratulate Christopher Veltkamp on this recognition as he has been an amazing player on the team and we look forward to the spring season in our quest for a seventh straight appearance at the NCCAA National Championship.”

The Honorees included the following athletes and coaches: 
Coach Rafa Heck, Men’s Soccer: Recognized for the team advancing to the NCCAA National Championship. 
Coach Joel Popenfoose, Women’s Cross Country: Recognized for the team advancing to the NCCAA National Championship. 
Coach Chris Moment, Men’s Tennis: Recognized for the team advancing to the NCCAA National Championship. 
Taylor Boley, Men’s Basketball: Recognized for winning the 2018-2019 NAIA Slam Dunk National Championship.
Chloe Burkhart, Women’s Cross Country: Recognized as NCCAA All-American. 
Anali Cisneros, Women’s Track & Field: Recognized for winning 3000m and 5000m NAIA National Championship Racewalk events. 
Nayeli Cisneros, Women’s Trak and Field: Recognized for a second-place finish in NAIA Indoor Racewalk and as an All-American. 
Luis Germano, Men’s Soccer: Recognized as All-American (NCCAA, USCAA), NCCAA All-Tournament Team, CCAC Freshman of Year.
Lauren Herlihy, Women’s Softball: Recognized as NCCAA National Tournament All-Tournament Team. 
Isabel Hindt, Women’s Track and Field: Recognized as NCCAA National Champion 100m & 400m Hurdles. Numerous school records. 
Alie Kennedy, Women’s Softball: Recognized as NCCAA North Central All-Region Team.
Sarah Kessler, Women’s Softball: Recognized as NCCAA North Central All-Region Team.
Josh Krueger, Men’s Baseball: Recognized as NCCAA North Central All-Region Team.
Jared Ludwig, Men’s Baseball: Recognized as NCCAA North Central All-Region Team.
Marie Mayer, Women’s Cross Country: Recognized as NCCAA All-American. 
Nikolaos Mihalopolous, Men’s Soccer: Recognized as NCCAA 3rd Team All-American.
Luka Obradovic, Men’s Track and Field: Recognized for breaking the school record in the long jump.
Skye Osborne, Women’s Softball: Recognized as NCCAA North Central All-Region Team.
Ben Simpson, Men’s Track & Field: Recognized for breaking school decathlon record.
Katie Valeria, Women’s Volleyball: Recognized as NCCAA Second Team All-American.
Christopher Veltkamp, Men’s Tennis: Recognized for NAIA Second Team All-American, NCCAA North Central Player of the Year and All-Region Team.
Francisco Villanueva, Men’s Track and Field: Recognized for breaking the school record in 400m hurdles. 
Emylyn Wright, Women’s Basketball: Recognized as NCCAA All-American, NCCAA National Tournament All-Tournament Team, CCAC First Team. 
Lindsay Zdroik, Women’s Softball: Recognized as NCCAA Third-Team All-American, NCCAA North Central Region Pitcher of the Year.
Anne Vogt, Women’s Softball (1995): Inducted into the Elgin Sports Hall of Fame. Played for Judson during the 1995 season.
