The first-ever Empowering Your Professional Career Through Higher Education Leadership Summit was held on March 16, 2024, by the Business Administration and Organizational Leadership Dept for Professional Studies. Dr. Karen Love, Program Chair and COO of the Love Family Christian Foundation, sponsored the summit.
Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Professional Selling, and Effective Team Marketing were the subjects covered during the conference, which aimed to provide a forum for professionals to network and address organizational and corporate issues. Darvel DesRoches, the Esquire, was the honored guest. At 1804 Reality, he serves as CEO. Program Chair Dr. Karen Love (Effective Team Leadership), Professor William Hines (Entrepreneurship), Dr. Joseph Simala (Marketing), and COO FGM Architect John Peters (Professional Selling) served as facilitators. The event was a great success. Among those in attendance were Verizon Wireless, TRIO, College of Lake County, Coldwell Realty, Medcor, and Malcolm X College representatives.
