Praised for his “virtuosic skill” (Stage and Cinema), “poised expression”, and “sweet, refined tone” (Chicago Classical Review), French violinist Blaise Magnière will be performing in Thulin Auditorium in Thompson Hall on Wednesday, March 27 at 7 p.m.
Magnière is a highly acclaimed chamber musician and recording artist, and has toured extensively both in the U.S and abroad. He is currently teaching at Northern Illinois University, and will be performing solo violin sonatas by J.S. Bach, Béla Bartók, and an intriguing original composition entitled “Music will not save the world.”
The recital is free and open to the public.
