Printmaking Exhibit Opens in the Draewell Gallery

“from the collection of… prints from the personal archives of the Art & Design Department” features a variety of prints from the private collections of current Art & Design faculty as well as a few from Judson University’s Draewell Print Collection. Represented are a wide array of artists, from historic masters such as Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, J.A.M. Whistler, and Kiyoshi Saitō, to contemporary makers, colleagues, and former students.

A diverse range of techniques are also on display, including various methods of etching, block printing, letterpress, lithography, serigraphy, and digital printing. A few also feature treatments to the paper itself such as embossing, braille, and hand-sewn elements.

The exhibition runs from January 29 – March 22. The Draewell Gallery is open to the public Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
