The Judson University Softball Team learned that Naomi Sweeney has been named an NAIA Scholar-Athlete for the 2022-23 academic year.
In order to be considered for the NAIA Scholar-Athlete Award, one must hold a GPA of 3.5 and above, be of at least sophomore status, and have attended their respective institution for at least one year.
Sweeney is an architecture major and she excelled in the classroom as well as the field. Sweeney led the team with a 1.000 fielding percentage as she appeared in 30 games for the Eagles. At the plate, she had 16 hits, seven RBI, and six walks.
The Judson Athletic Department congratulates Naomi on this terrific honor.
