This fall’s Judson Civic Orchestra Concert will take place on Sunday, November 20, at 2:00 p.m. in Herrick Chapel and will mark a milestone for the orchestra. The Judson Civic Orchestra will be performing as a full ensemble for the first time since December 2019! The community members of the orchestra will be joining us for several challenging and exciting works.
One of the highlights will be Mozart’s Oboe Concerto KV 314 with senior Music Performance major Ezequiel Navarro as a soloist. In addition, the orchestra will perform the beautiful “Serenade for Wind Instruments” by American composer, Arthur Bird. The program will also feature selections from Handel’s Messiah, as well as “‘Twas the Brass Before Christmas” arranged for a brass quintet by David Baldwin. The program will be conducted by Dr. Ernest “Chip” Gross and the Artistic Director of the Judson Civic Orchestra, Dr. Robert Kania.
Tickets are available at the door for $10 ($8 for Seniors over 60) and are free for students and children.
