Judson Hosted CCCU Conference

Last month Judson University was proud to host the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities’ (CCCU) Doctoral Education Collaboration Forum, “an interactive forum on issues of doctoral education development and support, promoting increased excellence in doctoral education at CCCU institutions for all doctoral program directors, faculty, and administrators. The three-day Doctoral Forum consisted of five different Plenaries and a number of breakout sessions. Among others, the keynote speakers included Dr. Anita Henck from Azusa Pacific University and Dr. Kevin Lawson from Biola University.
Doctoral educators from Judson University led the opening Plenary, focusing on the Distinctives of Doctoral Higher Education, which featured a panel discussion with: Dr. Brenda Buckley-Hughes, Co-Director, Ed.D. in Literacy and Ed.D. in Leadership & Policy Studies; Dr. Karen Love, MA & BA in Organizational Leadership; Dr. Dana Onayemi, Program Director, Doctorate in Computer Science; Dr. Kristy Piebenga, Program Director, M.Ed. in Literacy; Dr. Gillian Stewart-Wells, Provost & CAO; Dr. Lionel Sweeny, former Program Director, Doctor of Computer Science; and Dr. Joy Towner, Co-Director, Ed.D. in Literacy and Ed.D. in Leadership & Policy Studies.
