LSU Events Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Latino Student Union has several events planned for this semester:

Thursday, October 6 at 8 p.m. LSU and the International Club will partner to sponsor the Taste Of Judson.

Friday, October 14 at 9 p.m. LSU Music and Bonfire.

The Latino Student Union and Benjamin P. Browne Library kicked off celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a replica exhibit here in our library that can also be found at the Gail Borden Public Library in Elgin.

Visitors to the Benjamin P. Browne Library will discover the influence Elgin’s Hispanic community has had on the city’s culture through an exhibit recognizing the history and contributions, including music, food, education, religion, and family. The exhibit is now open and will be on display through Oct. 15.
