Don’t Miss Next Week’s Chapel Speakers

Chapel Speaker on Monday, Sept. 5, will feature Teddy Matthews, a spiritual leader, transformational coach and speaker, and NFL Chaplain for the Chicago Bears. He is a certified speaker, coach, and trainer with both the John Maxwell Team as well Eric Thomas & Associates, under the tutelage of Dr. Eric Thomas more commonly known as “ET the Hip Hop Preacher.”


Judson University will commemorate Constitution Day on Sept. 7 with a special guest speaker Dr. Joshua Dunn, who will give a presentation at 10 a.m. in Herrick Chapel.

Dr. Joshua Dunn is Executive Director of the Center for the Study of Government and the Individual at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. He is also a Professor and Chair of the Department of Political Science. His research and teaching interests are in constitutional law and history, education policy, federalism, and freedom of speech and religion. Dr. Dunn has written several books, including “Complex Justice: The Case of Missouri v. Jenkins,” “From Schoolhouse to Courthouse: The Judiciary’s Role in American Education,” and “Passing on the Right: Conservative Professors in the Progressive University.” He also writes a quarterly article on law and education for the journal Education Next. His research and commentary have been featured in outlets such as the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, and Los Angeles Times. Previously he taught at the College of William & Mary and was a fellow in contemporary history, public policy, and American politics at the Miller Center of Public Affairs in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Dr. Dunn’s keynote speech during Judson’s Chapel event is free and open to the public. Judson’s Constitution Day observance is sponsored through the generous support of OTTO Engineering, Inc., which designs and manufactures control switches and two-way radio communication products for a variety of unique and standard applications.
