Congratulations to Judson Women’s Soccer Team

The Judson University Women’s Soccer Team has learned that it has received votes in the 2022 NAIA Preseason poll. By receiving seven total vote points, the Eagles are the highest-rated CCAC program and are rated as a top 40 team overall in the NAIA.

The Eagles have made a statement on the national scene in the 2021 season as the Eagles finished 12-4-1 in the regular season and 10-2-1 in CCAC play. Judson won its first conference title in a decade’s time and advanced to the NAIA opening round.

Of the 12 different players who scored goals for Judson last season, 11 are returning. Every player with 2+ goals from last season be back this fall. Kelly Leon returns after leading the team with 10 goals and 21 points last season. Josett Perez also looks to be a significant contributor once again as she comes back to Judson following a nine-goal, 21-point effort in 2021.

Judson will miss an all-conference goalkeeper in Marissa Fetters, who is no longer on the roster due to graduation. However, Morgan Olsen has experience being the starting goalie for the Eagles during her freshman year and did not allow a goal in 56 minutes last season. Alondra Blanco, an NAIA Honorable Mention, comes back for her penultimate season as an Eagle following a nine-goal, four-assist campaign.

The season starts Saturday as Judson faces 18th-ranked SCAD Savannah at 12:00 p.m. at the MAC Athletic Complex in Crystal Lake, Illinois.
