The RISE Program Special Olympics basketball team competed in the “First Annual” Basketball game against the Elgin Police Department. Judson alumnus Chad Benevidez of the Elgin Police Department is joining the RISE Program team in collaborating on monthly workshops designed to teach the students various independent living skills with an emphasis on safety. The basketball game provided an opportunity for the students and officers to get to know each other.
