Congratulations to Judson’s Newest Comm Arts Winners

Congratulations to the winners of Judson’s Fall 2021 CommArts Conference Scholarship Awards: Devin Wright – “The Signs of Growing Up,” Jessica Windischman – “Step Into What Scares You,” and Hope Davis – “The Power of Weakness.” Not pictured is Amir Scott – “What Thomas the Tank Engine Tells Us About Disability.”

Each winner received $1,100 in scholarships. These scholarships were established in honor of Emeritus Professor Dr. Stuart Ryder, affectionately known as “Doc.” Doc was the founder of the Communication Arts program at Judson and a much-beloved professor over decades of teaching. The money for the awards came from the generosity of David MacFadzean, a former Judson professor who became a screenwriter and producer in Hollywood, most famous for “Roseanne” and “Home Improvement.”

Thank you to all those who have supported the Communication Arts program and orchestrated this event. Congratulations to our three talented winners!
