Madison Psinas Named 2021 Lincoln Student Laureate

Judson senior Madison Psinas received the Abraham Lincoln Civic Engagement Award. Every fall, a meritorious senior from each of the four-year, degree-granting colleges and universities in Illinois is awarded the Abraham Lincoln Civic Engagement Award and becomes a Student Laureate.

A native of Pekin, Ill., Psinas is a senior in the Architecture program at Judson University. Judson faculty recommended her for the award stating that she has shown a dedication to the study of architecture and modeled Judson University’s values through her commitment to justice, compassion, empathy and love for her community.

Academically, Psinas has been on the Dean’s list and a member of the honors program for the past six semesters. In her freshman year, Psinas was selected to be one of Judson’s Roeser Scholars, an honor that is given to students based on academic merit and leadership qualities.

Psinas is an active member of the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) and completed her summer internship at Phillips and Associates Architects of Canton, Illinois. Psinas’ service activities include volunteering at her local Pregnancy Crisis Center, The Hope Chest, a community thrift store, and at multiple Red Cross Blood Drives.
