Elgin Campus IST Update

Judson’s IST Department and its consultant ESC is continuing to replace existing wireless access points across campus to ease the strain on our current WiFi systems due to the pandemic. Replacement/addition of access points has been completed in HAWAC, the Demoss Center and the baseball field press box. The team is actively working on replacing access points in the Math and Science building and the softball field press box. Once these are completed, consultant ESC will begin replacing the access points in Lindner Tower, floors 5-7.

Be on the lookout for the new “judson.public” and “judson.managed” wireless networks now appearing in the above-mentioned locations as we replace or add new access points. Give them a try!

Please continue to watch News and Events for updates as these upgrades continue throughout the campus. Additionally, we will be continuing to install new power backup systems along with supporting network hardware over the upcoming weeks and months. We will communicate in advance of any service interruptions. Other projects either underway or coming soon include testing new classroom technologies and updating the campus security cameras.
