Update on Continued Technology Improvements

Enterprise Solutions Consulting is continuing to replace existing wireless access points across campus to ease the strain on our current WiFi systems due to the pandemic. Replacement/addition of access points has been completed in the Lindner Campus Commons, the Lindner Fitness Center and the Campus Safety offices. The team is actively working on replacing and adding additional access points in HAWAC. Once these are completed, ESC will begin replacing the access points in the Demoss Center.

Please look out for the new “judson.public” and “judson.managed” wireless networks now appearing in the above-mentioned locations as we replace or add new access points. Give them a try! Please continue to watch News and Events for updates as these upgrades continue throughout the campus.

Additionally, we will be continuing to install new power backup systems along with supporting network hardware over the upcoming weeks and months. We will communicate in advance of any service interruptions.

Other projects either underway or coming soon include phone system evaluations, testing new classroom technologies, and upgrading the campus security camera software.

Security Tip: Be a Selective Sharer
These days, there are a lot of opportunities to share our personal information online and on social media. Just be cautious about what you share, particularly when it comes to your identity information. This can potentially be used to impersonate you or guess your passwords, security questions, and logins.
