This week, four Judson students received scholarships during the Friends of Judson’s annual spring luncheon. Congratulations to Ashtyn Graham, Peter Saad, Anaiah Wilson-Poston and Kaylie Malenius. Sara Folgert also received the honor but was unable to be present.
FOJ raises money through many service projects. Their annual garage sale will be held on Friday and Saturday, May 7-8, at the First Baptist Church in Elgin. All proceeds will go to scholarships for worthy students at Judson University.
The sale will be 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, May 7, and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 8, at the church, 1735 W. Highland Ave.
If you would like to donate items to the garage sale, donations will be accepted on Wednesday and Thursday, May 5-6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the church. They are especially looking for nice furniture, bicycles, lawn care items, tools, dishes, linens, books, plants, children and adult clothing, toys, jewelry and electronics. Please no TVs.
There will be a wide range of items for sale, including furniture, tools, children’s toys, housewares, linens and bedding, seasonal items, books, jewelry, clothing for adults, and children, and many more miscellaneous items.
