Enterprise Solutions Consulting is replacing existing wireless access points across campus to ease the strain on our current WiFi systems due to the pandemic. The Ohio Hall replacement of access points has been completed. The team is working on replacing and adding additional access points in Lindner Tower, floors 1, 2 and 3, and also in the third-floor attic space in Volkman Hall. Once these are completed, ESC will begin replacing the access points in Volkman Hall floors 1 and 2 and also in the Linder Campus Commons.
Be on the lookout for the new “judson.public” and “judson.managed” wireless networks now appearing in the above-mentioned locations as we replace or add new access points. Note: the “judson.public” network will replace the “JudsonPublic” wireless network (same password) and the “judson.managed” network will replace the “jcwirelessBG.” Give them a try!
Please watch News and Events for updates as these upgrades continue throughout the campus. Additionally, we will be installing new power systems along with supporting network in the coming weeks. We will communicate in advance of any service interruptions.
Security Tip: A top goal of cybercriminals is to trick you into downloading malware—programs or apps that carry malware or try to steal information. This malware can be disguised as an app: anything from a popular game to something that checks traffic or the weather. As PCWorld Magazine advises, don’t download apps that look suspicious or come from a site you don’t trust.
