Civic Orchestra Concert This Sunday and Other Events

Join the Demoss Center for Worship and Performing Arts at one of the upcoming performances or recordings during November.

Sunday, Nov. 22, 2 p.m.
Judson Civic Orchestra concert in Herrick Chapel (In-person)
Ensembles from the Judson Civic Orchestra will perform in Herrick Chapel (In-person). Senior Music Performance Major Ben Johnson, Piano, will perform George Gershwin’s iconic “Rhapsody in Blue” with an ensemble from the Judson Civic Orchestra. Small ensembles from the Orchestra will also perform a variety of repertoire.
Tickets will be available via Eventbrite.com. Audience members will be gently screened upon arrival, assigned physically distanced seats, and asked to wear masks for the duration of the performance. Tickets are $10 (plus handling fees) through Eventbrite.com.

Communication Arts Conference Presentations
Presentations (Virtual) Communication Arts students will be competing for scholarship funds endowed by longtime Judson faculty member and DCWPA patron Dr. Stuart “Doc” Ryder. These speeches will be pre-recorded and premiered on Youtube at the following address: https://www.youtube.com/user/JudsonUniversityCWPA

Tuesday, Dec. 1, 7 p.m.
Judson University Percussion Ensemble, THULIN AUDITORIUM (In-person) Location was updated on Nov. 20.
The Judson Percussion Ensemble, under the direction of Prof. Michael Folker, will perform a variety of energetic percussion pieces, and will feature Judson alum, Michelle Osakada, in a marimba duet with Michael Folker. McKenna Liebenow, daughter of Judson alum and adjunct professor Scott Liebenow, will be a guest soloist.
