Tyndale House Publishers has released Dr. Rob Currie’s new work of historical fiction, Hunger Winter: A World War II Novel. This work of historical fiction tells the dramatic but little-known true story of the hardship and heroism of the Dutch when the Nazis tried to crush the Resistance by cutting off food and fuel during the final winter of the war. As a result, 20,000 Dutch civilians starved or froze to death. The story centers on young Dirk Ingelse who has to flee his home in the middle of the night his pockets stuffed with food, his little sister asleep in his arms, and his heart heavy with a dark secret.
The book is available from the Judson Spirit Store or through Amazon. Dr. Currie is Department Chair for the Psychology Department at Judson.
