Nixle will continue to be used if there is a campus emergency such as a threat, a tornado warning, certain severe weather warnings. To sign up for Nixle, students on the Elgin campus should text JUSTUDENT to 888777 from their cell phone; students on the Rockford campus should text JUROCKFORD to 888777.
Both services are needed for students, faculty and staff to receive important emergency and non-emergency communications regarding campus services and campus safety.
