Judson’s Draewell Gallery will host a talk with artist Marissa Voytenko on Friday, January 31, at 4:30 p.m. in the Harm A. Weber Academic Center, Room 221. Her work is on display in the gallery until March 13. Ms. Voytenko is an abstract painter who works in encaustic, a traditional wax-based medium. For her, creating art is a spiritual practice. Her carefully composed images, formed through layering various pigments, offer a visually rich, contemplative experience for viewers.
