Thanksgiving and Christmas Break Schedules

Judson University is pleased to announce the following Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks for employees. We hope our employees will enjoy a wonderful and relaxing holiday.

THANKSGIVING BREAK
Thanksgiving break will begin on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, with staff and faculty returning to work on Monday, December 2, 2019.

EXEMPT EMPLOYEES
Exempt employees will be paid their agreed upon salary for the week of Thanksgiving.

NON-EXEMPT HOURLY EMPLOYEES
Full-Time Non-Exempt employees who work 30 hours per week or more are eligible for holiday pay. During the week of Thanksgiving, non-exempt employees will be paid holiday pay for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (Nov. 27, 28, and 29). We ask that managers work with their employees to determine the best way to schedule the remaining hours to meet their full-time schedule. These hours can be split between Monday and Tuesday or worked during a single day. However, it is important to ensure that support services are still provided during the two days that the university remains open.

Should employees wish to use vacation/personal time, they may do so per their supervisor’s permission to cover the remaining hours.
