Charlie Chaplin’s “City Lights” with Live Piano Accompaniment at Judson

Pianist HyunJu Kang from South Korea will perform at Judson on Sunday, March 31 at 4 p.m. in Thulin Auditorium for a special fundraiser. Professor Kang has re-invented the largely lost art of underscoring silent movies with live music. She brings to the stage her diverse experiences as a cross-over musician, film music director, and commercial music composer, melded with her classical, jazz and improvisational piano background. Charlie Chaplin’s iconic film, “City Lights” will be the featured movie for Kang’s performance. 

Following the concert, an optional sit-down dinner in the Thompson Hall lounge. This is a ticketed, fundraising event, however special prices have been offered to the Judson community: $50 Movie and Dinner $20 Movie Only (adult) $ 5 Movie Only (Judson student) $10 Movie Only (non-Judson student) Tickets can be purchased through e-mailing Dr. Sojung Hong.
